The Project

I designed the branding and packaging for the sale and storing of luxury chocolates. The goal is to alter the experience of getting and receiving chocolates, making it something you can do and enjoy just because you feel like it. This is geared toward young adults, specifically people around their 20s-30s. They would possess a personality that is fun/playful, caring, and unique. There is the hope that the generation they are in will inspire them to break some of the norms and stigmas created by older generations, allowing for this new approach with the message of chocolates.

Approach

I started by seeing what kinds of packaging existed, what I liked and didn’t like, and how I could design something new. Through looking at examples in my day-to-day life and on the internet, I realized I liked designs that were unique, whether in their design or the way they functioned. This then led me to go on Pinterest and make boards of what I liked. Once I decided on doing chocolate boxes, I started looking at other designs or objects that could be reflected into a design, like jewelry boxes because of how interesting they are.
